We need to know what you don’t know
There are so many ways which data can be used to fuel creative practice, and so many possibilities for new connections. Inquisitive Narratives is exploring ways that performance can connect young audiences to data.
Now, it’s time to get more folk involved, and find out who needs what, and how they need it.
I’ve been sharing a short questionnaire to try and find out what those working in and around live performance need, about how they feel about data and what barriers stand between them and expanding their creative practice. It’s the start of a much bigger conversation, and I would LOVE it if you could join in.
From March – May 2021, we’ll be running a series of workshops with creative practitioners. These will be to get an idea of what people already know about data, what they’d like to know and how Inquisitive Narratives can help support explorations of data-influenced performance.
There are key questions which need to be answered…
- Where would people like to explore?
- What barriers are in the way?
- Who can remove those barriers?
- Why should a creative practitioner be interested in learning more about data?
- If a workshop doesn’t have biscuits, does it even happen?
So, would you like to be involved?
Here are some things which you might like to know first…
Will I be compensated for my time?
The first workshop should take around an hour and we can offer £30 per person in money or vouchers
How many folk are you after?
Each workshop will be with 6 people, which will hopefully be the perfect number for interesting chat, but everyone getting a go.
I can’t participate to something like this…
We’ll try and remove any barriers which could prevent participation. Whether you need a 1 on 1, would rather work by email or know you can’t commit to a time in advance, we gotcha.
I think this is going to be good. I hope you can join me on the journey.
