It’s been a while since I’ve dusted off this website, eh?
During all that time away from here I’ve been working with Edinburgh Science’s Creative Team, dealing with some health stuff and am now at CodeBase – the tech incubator in the heart of Edinburgh. I’ve learnt a lot, from how to write a show for small kids about climate which isn’t TERRIFYING to what on earth a Venture Capitalist does…and now it’s time to bring it back to this.
Well, sort of.
The next stage of Inquisitive Narratives is going to be, I hope, a much longer term offering than the last lot of work I did on it but will build on that research plus a whole heap of other stuff I’ve done for years…
– this website is getting a whole heap of resources added over the next six months, all around ways for organisations and projects to communicate with young audiences. There will be stories because that’s how I think.
– a wee three part podcast, co-made with my 9 year-old. Chats with My Nine Year Old (Chats with My Mum) is a new project where we’ll be chatting about issues like good/evil, love/hate and life/death and then coming up with a story at the end, so other families can have similar chats about these tricky but fascinating subjects.
– a new project called Sharenting for co-parents who are trying to improve communication (launching June 2025)
And I’ll be taking on a bit more consultancy and facilitation work because I still love those chats.
